Drivers must be 18 years old with valid driver’s license. Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian 25 years of age or older.

Any guest within a party who wants to drive must bring a valid driver’s license.

Drivers are responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle while on the tour. Just like a rental car, you will be financially responsible for any damage to the vehicle and/or property damage.

The collateral is to ensure rental gear is returned and any damage to vehicles is accounted for.

Please pay close attention to the rules of the road. Our guides will address these rules with you at the safety briefing at the beginning of our tour and continue to coach our riders throughout the tour. This is a guided scenic/historical tour reaching speeds up to 25 MPH.

1. No sling-shotting: No holding the vehicle purposely behind the tour and then gunning the engine to spin out and catch up to the tour.

2. No side-by-side riding: No passing or riding next to other vehicles.

3. No tail sliding: Revving engine and turning the wheel to slide the vehicle tail.

4. No rock slinging: Spinning tires to throw rocks at the vehicle behind you.

5. You may encounter wildlife on trail. Simply take your foot off the gas and let the animal pass. Do not turn the vehicle’s wheel to try and miss the animal. Doing so may cause injury to our riders. We love our animals, but our guests are irreplaceable.

6. Follow hand signals given by the guides.

7. Listen closely to all instruction given by our guides.

8. Failure to comply with ride rules will result in guests being removed from tour without refund.

9. Any damage caused by the guest to vehicles, property, (whether it be public or private) is the monetary responsibility of the guest.

10. No imbibing in drugs or alcohol on tour or before tour that will impair driving capabilities.

11. Guests must wear seatbelt and all protective equipment on tour.

12. Guest must sign insurance waiver prior to tour.

13. Guest must provide credit card as collateral for gear and vehicle rental.

14. All drivers must be 18 years or older with valid driver’s license to drive. Minors must be accompanied by an adult 25 or older.

No people with back problems, recent surgeries, bone/joint problems, or heart conditions. No pregnancies.

There are size restrictions in order to safely secure the seat harnesses. Please check with our office staff for details.

No, off-roading is prohibited for pregnant guests.

We can accommodate guests with wheelchairs. The Maukawahi Cave Tour is NOT wheelchair accessible. Please chat with our office staff for details.

There is a bathroom at the staging area, waterfall and Waita Reservoir.

Parties of 20 or more are subject to automatic gratuity.

Towel – Sunblock/Bug Spray – Closed-toe shoes for hiking – Reusable water bottle for water, and proper clothes for Kauai’s red dirt!

Unprotected cameras and digital devices. Anything that cannot get dirty, wet or lost.

There is no smoking or alcohol consumption during the tour. Guests who arrive intoxicated will be prohibited from participating in the tour.

24 hour cancellation period. Cancellations within 24 hours are subject to a 50% charge. No charge will be incurred for cancellations made outside of the cancellation periods. “No Shows” at tour time will incur a 100% charge of the individual tour price.
